Why We Start With the Body
Why voice training starts below the throat.

The introductory course runs over five sessions, alternating between contextual lessons and hands-on practice. The lessons explain the why behind what you're doing, and the practice sessions give you a chance to experience it directly.
Why voice training starts below the throat.
Developing internal awareness before producing sound.
The range of what the app offers — you start calibrating yourself.
How exercises connect and build on each other.
What a regular guided session feels like.
In any physical discipline — dance, sport, fitness — you don't just practise the thing. You develop the component skills that make the thing possible. Voice Gym applies the same thinking to your voice.
Sessions that adapt to you. A quick daily check-in calibrates each session based on your goals and how your voice feels today.
Choose exercises from the library — warm ups, body and breath, registration, range, articulation, cool downs — and save the workouts you come back to.
Some days you want to be told what to do. Other days you know exactly what your voice needs. Move between the two without starting over.
Sensory drives motor.
An approach to vocal training that removes some of the mysticism that often accompanies vocal exercises.
— Chris Nolan, voice coach & founderVoice Gym is designed to sit alongside the work you do with your students. It doesn't diagnose, assess, or claim to replace your expertise. It gives your students structured practice between lessons — and optionally, a weekly summary you can see.

Billed monthly after your 7-day trial.
That's about $14.17 a month.
Most sessions are around ten minutes, so try to do one a day if you can. If you miss a few days, no problem — just pick up where you left off. And there's nothing wrong with repeating a session as many times as you like.
No. You can guide yourself through sessions, build your own workouts, or do a bit of both. If you do work with a coach, you can link them to your account and share an optional weekly summary.
Both. Voice Gym is a guided training app for singers and actors — with audio options for lower and higher voices.
Everyone's body and voice are different, so a session might feel like a lot, or it might feel like nothing much at all. Both are completely fine. Just never push into pain — if something doesn't feel right, ease off. What matters is that you're paying attention to what you notice.
No. Voice Gym does not diagnose vocal health conditions, assess how your voice sounds, or offer therapy. If you're experiencing pain, persistent hoarseness, or any concerning vocal symptom, please see a laryngologist or speech pathologist.
Any modern phone, tablet, or laptop. Voice Gym is a web app — you can install it to your home screen on iOS and Android like a native app, with no app store required. Headphones help but aren't essential.
